lexaproLexapro? ?

I have taken lexapro for three nights only. I dont like the way it makes me feel and it has made me terribly sick so I want to stop taking it. I know it is a medication you are supossed to wean off of but do I need to do that after only 3 days?
Thanks
I have been taking lexapro for three weeks now. I have not felt sick I don't think that after only three nights you need to worry about weaning yourself off of it. Tell your Dr. about these side effects.
i have been on it for 5days now. dont know if i like it. day 3 and 4 i was really nau搜刮引擎劣化us, and night 3and 4 have been sleepless nights. All the other ppl here say they are drowsy. I am only sleepy because I am getting no sleep. i dont feel different yet, but i guess time will tell

My experience with Lexapro was different in the beginning. During the first days I couldn't sleep, had hot flashes and agitation (couldn't sit still). Agitation continued for several months. After that the drug was great. I'm still on it, have to take it in the AM or it's hard to sleep

I took lexapro for over 5 years, some stomach discomfort the first few days, I slept like baby andlexapro when I stopped I had a few side effects but nothing out of this world. I think is a great medication.
If you can hang on for the first three weeks, after that you will see the full effect.

I've got everyone topped...
I was on Lexapro for 3.5 YEARS!
The 1st week your body is adjusting to the meds, my symptom on 10mg was extreme drowsiness.

>>Only take Lexapro if you are willing to go through the HORRIBLE withdraw period!!! I am on week 3 and still have bad brain zaps!<< Others have reported withdraw symptoms lasting up to 7 weeks!
Brain zaps are like nothing else, they cause you to want to curl up in a ball, cover your eyes, put in ear plugs and make everyone just go away. Your brain can NOT function during withdraw.

I will say that it is wonderful drug while taking it as long as you take it every day, same time of day, same dose. Any irregularities will totally mess you up!
I used to take Lexapro and let me tell you from experience it really makes you have a lot worse problems than that if you aren't very careful. I quit taking mine and went to my doctor and told them how it was affecting me and they changed mine to another med. Now I am doing lexaprojust fine.
NO! CONTINUE USING IT!! i was the same way. it went away after a week. dont worry. lexapro works and it changes the way you feel.
you would be better off persisting on it.. people get only sideeffects for the first 5 when I started but everything I got was very vague. Here's what I can tell you. It takes about a week for you to start noticing any difference. I felt nau搜刮引擎劣化us and tired when I first started to take it but it was well worth it because it about saved my life. I tried different meds before lexapro and they were unbearable but to me lexapro was pretty tolerable. I took my doses right before bed because it made me so sleepy and sick and that helped a lot. When do you take your dose? What are you taking it for? Everyone always told me just stick with it and you will notice a difference, which I hated but I think my own anxiety played a part in how I felt as far as being sick and stuff. As for weaning off, how many mg. do you take? I recently weaned off Lexapro this past few weeks but very slowly. If you want you can email me and I'll be happy to tell you what I know from my experience. Good Luck!
