adobe flash player 10 activex problemsIs Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX a virus?

Friday, December 1st, I got a pop-up that was asking me to update adobe flash player and after i accepted, a fake "Vista Security 2012" thing kept spamming me. Eventually I got rid of it supposedly, but my internet time was being used up for some reason. Now today I've tried seeing if I can find any other problems and in the Programs and Features section, I've found there was a "Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX" by Adobe Systems Incorporated installed on 12/1/2011 (the same day). But there's also a "Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin&quoadobe flash player 10 activex problemst; by Adobe Systems Incorporated installed on 10/11/2009 which seems more reasonable... I'm thinking the one on 12/1/2011 my be a virus but I don't want to uninstall something that might be necessary.
Adobe Flash player (from the official Abode site) is a legit 3rd party add-on.
What you fell for is an old trick by hucksters to get you to click a bogus pop-up, which actually performs a malware installation.

Always update any and all 3rd party applications from the official vendor of the software...never from a site you happen to be visiting.

Afadobe flash player 10 activex problemster you do a real-time install of a current software, delete older versions, as they may have vulnerabilities which can be leveraged to do other malware installations.

its just a simple plugin for yuor browser so you can view and interact with flash animations and videos like youtube or flash based games.
Download Malwarebytes and let it do the work for you so that there is no question. Install the free version and run a full scan on drive C:.
